Overlooking the beach and boathouse at the Buffalo Canoe Club, James finished putting on his last few details. He quietly moved about the room, stopping every now and then to look out at the beautiful space outside. Admitting to some slight nerves, James beamed with happiness thinking about how soon him and Lara would be married. His dad, his Best Man, arrived to help with his boutonniere.
At their home just a short drive away, Lara had her finishing touches applied to her makeup while their sweet little boy played nearby. Motherhood doesn’t take a rest even on the wedding day as she took Oakley upstairs for a nap. Her mom, her Maid of Honour, helped her into her sweet wedding dress while her dad waiting downstairs. A first glance with him before we left for the Holloway Memorial Chapel for their ceremony.
Sweet vows and moments, happy tears and rings, Lara and James were officially married!
A few portraits around the chapel then at the Buffalo Canoe Club before cocktails and mingling. Together they rang the bell to announce the reception’s official beginning!
Thanks again to you both (and Oakley!) for allowing me the honour of documenting such a sweet and lovely celebration of your love. And for being so kind as I hobbled around with my air cast! Ha!
