A chilly morning in early April, Dave and his groomsmen gathered in his mother’s home. Personal mementos gave a glimpse into life in their family. The gentlemen helped each other with details and finishing touches with his mom stepping in every so often to help with pride and love beaming from her. Dave opened a sweet gift from his soon to be bride, wiping away tears with a perfectly gifted handkerchief before they head out to the ceremony.
Alyssa and her bridesmaids were prepping in a hotel room at Carmen’s Banquet Centre in Hamilton. As the girls waited in the hallway, Alyssa’s mom helped her into her stunning wedding gown. When she was all ready to go, her dad came in for a quick look at his daughter on her wedding day. Soon after, her girls made their way into the room some holding back tears (some not) and all with big smiles.
The ceremony was at the adorable Ancaster Old Town Hall. A sweet venue for a sweet couple. A lovely ceremony was full of happy tears and laugher as the couple said their promises to one another. After a few quick portraits outside, the wedding party head to the Royal Botanical Gardens for more.
Back at the reception venue, Carmen’s did a fantastic job as always with the setting up and details. The guests were treated to incredible food and touching speeches before hitting the dance floor to party the night away.
But before we head out, Alyssa and Dave allowed me to document something I’ve always wanted to – them jumping on their bed together! ha!
It was such a wonderful day – I am so thrilled to have been a part of the celebrations and joy as their began the next chapter in their lives. Congratulations again!! xo
