Emily and Kirk are a outdoorsy and down to earth couple who love nothing more than each other. It was fitting to have to have a Heartland Forest wedding with the woods surrounding this beautiful venue.
My lovely assistant Nadia met Kirk at his brother in law’s home with all of the groomsmen. Kirk, an avid baseball player, presented each of the guys with a customized bat. Kirk sat to read a letter from his soon to be wife then the laughter started back up as the guys finished getting ready for the big day.
At her mom’s home, Emily and her girls were bustling around the house. The two flower girls were adorable as ever as they proved that life doesn’t stop for a wedding when you need to eat or a quick wash. After presenting her girls with their own gifts, Emily stepped into her wedding dress. An emotional first look with her dad before one with her bridesmaids, then it was off to the wedding in a family friend’s awesome ride.
The sweet and emotional ceremony (with adorable flower girl moments mingled in) officially made them husband and wife! Then it was off to Heartland Forest for the portraits and reception. The reception was full of heartfelt and hilarious speeches, lawn games to pass the time for the guests, and an absolutely epic dance party. It was the perfect celebration!
Thanks again for allowing me the honour of documenting such a beautiful, intimate, and truly fun day – and congratulations again!!
