When Amy contacted me to photograph her wedding, I loved her enthusiasm from the beginning. And when I found out they were doing a full backyard country wedding at their home, my heart was elated.
On the day of their wedding, there were so many personal details. So much of their day represented not only their love for each other and the common bonds they had, but also their love for their families. Family was such a huge part of their day and provided plenty of candid, emotional moments (my fav!). They included so many intimate details in their wedding about their families; they celebrated with Amy’s grandparents, who had just celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary earlier in the year; and Amy’s Aunt Pam passed suddenly and unexpectedly only a few short weeks earlier, prompting them to use plastic cutlery and paper plates in her honour.
From the hay bales to her cowboy boots to a field of wildflowers, this day was everything country. Even to the amazing feast catered by Pig Out (www.pigout.ca), complete with a poutine bar, corn on the cob and a whole leg of beef. Their favours? Custom beer cozies :)
The beautiful florals were done by none other than Lush Florals (www.lushflorals.ca)
A special shout out to my amazing second photographer for the day–Precious :)
Enjoy all of the gorgeous country loveliness!
