A beautiful October day greeted us on the morning of Nikita and Tony’s Queenston Chapel Old Stone Inn wedding. We began at their home where Tony and his best man Chris (and their “Ring Doggy/Monster/Best Boy” Dash) were getting ready. On their wall hung the bandana that Dash was wearing when Tony first proposed and their home filled with their obvious love for their fur baby. Tony and Chris added their finishing touches (and Dash’s too!) then we were on our way to the Queenston Chapel.
Nikita was already there in the Laura Secord homestead next door. She pulled her beautiful custom gown from the wardrobe and hung it to give a good final look before stepping into it. Soon after, family began to arrive and peek in on the bride. And it wasn’t long before Dash was there to greet his mama.
The guests were seated in the chapel when Tony walked in pulling Dash in his wagon. But despite some trial runs, Dash had other plans from staying for the ride! He gave the guests a good laugh at his adorable suit. Then the doors opened to reveal the beautiful bride and left Tony speechless. He greeted his soon to be wife half way up the aisle and escorted her to the front. The sweet ceremony officiated by Debbie was full of love and happy tears for the couple. As they were announced as husband and wife, they walked hand in hand up the aisle – only to stop at the end with a “we forgot Dash!” and a quick run back to get their pup.
After portraits on the ground, then some casual portraits around downtown Niagara on the Lake, we head to the beautiful Old Stone Inn for their reception. Guests gathered for cocktails before heading into the dining room. Nikita and Tony entered with “Dash” (in spirit) before going into their first dance as husband and wife.
It was such a wonderful day and I am so truly thankful to have met this wonderful couple and their families (and of course, Dash) :)
